Yeh Silly hai mere yaar
It's hard to qualify Delhi-6 as an actual film. And if dying means I get to wear white and sit next to Amitabh Bachchan and eat jalebis, I really wouldn't mind being run over by a bus.
Has a little of many things.
All in all Delhi-6 is a film that most will find difficult to slot in one genre. It’s not just a romantic film. Nor is it a drama only. And that’s what is going to trouble Delhi-6 the most.
Ekdum desi India feel
Delhi 6, which, is a delectable paapdi-chaat of big, bustling, bulging India. The climax draws away from the appeal of the film.
The basic primise of the story is very flimsy.
It’s a message with a heart and mind. And though murky it comes across because of Mehra’s goof up with the plot, it makes Delhi 6 worth a visit at least.
Delhi-6, a film with heart
Delhi 6 isn't great cinema like Mehra's Rang De Basanti but it's a pleasing tapestry of tender moments and of diverse characters who engage you in their lives. It's a very watchable film.
Lacks any significant plot.
I recommend you give Delhi 6 a dekko, but sans the great expectations. Like life, it isn't perfect- and it's the little things that make it special and worth experiencing.
A Tribute to Kaala Bandar
Despite of few flaws, it’s a movie to be watched. Good entertainment with some flavors of emotions and diversity of topics
Delhi-6 is disappointing
Delhi-6 fails in all departments – acting, direction, dialogues, characterisation and cinematography and even in its use of the songs. Don't bother wasting your money on this one.
6 degrees of confusion
The film has a bigger disaster: the climax, which is a huge letdown; no, downright ludicrous. And that completely gratuitous scene with Amitabh Bachchan— heavens, what was Mehra thinking?
Delhi-6 is nowhere close to Rang De Basanti
The story is dated, the screenplay long-drawn - in spite of a short running time of 2 hrs 20 mins, the film stretches at a number of places - and the motive unclear.
Delhi-6 is quite colourless
The characters and the tracks soon start jumbling up, giving way for continuity lapses in the multi-dimensional narrative.
Watch it if you have nothing better to do.
What Delhi 6 lacks is a crisp plotline. The characterization is poor and nothing that the character does is clear. In fact no situation or anything that happens has a good reason and nothing evokes any kind of emotion.
So simple from above and yet so lusciously layered beneath
The dynamics of a culturally-decaying society are projected into scenes that come together as vibrant vignettes drawn with sincerity affection and transparency from the most enduring and endearing colours of life.
