A bit behind the times
This serial killing story badly needs bailing out.
On the whole the theme of mass murder on Mumbai's streets leaves us cold and unaffected.
Maybe our movies should just not get into the serial-killing space.
Death rattle 'n' roll
The storyline doesn't always hold up or hold your interest all through — how many bludgeoned faces can you stomach? It looks too much like an assembly-line product.
Fun to watch
Stone Man is an entertaining film and recommended.
It IS a hatke movie, in that there is little music (though there is an item number) and the characters are not good and evil
The Stoneman Murders is gripping
The story keeps you on the edge of your seat, occasionally sending a chill down your spine. The second half is engaging, as you can't help but wonder who the murderer really is. The climax, however, is predictable.
The film to watch out for
TSM is a no nonsense thriller that makes for a fairly good onetime watch. Watch it for Kay Kay's brilliant performance and to experience a chill during the scary sequences.
The Stoneman Murders
The film has an ample thrill quotient with the shadowy frame of the stoneman flitting across on one hand and the police department, specially Arbaaz, holding the renegade cop, Kay Kay, as the prime suspect.
